G2G Social Recreation & Social Inclusion
Recent research indicates that the lack of close friendships in peoples’ lives is as dangerous to one’s health as smoking or carrying extra weight. To truly feel part of the community, people need to be involved with people – friends, neighbors, peers.
The cornerstone of the G2G services, our social recreation program offers individuals the opportunity to access the many unique resources that Central Oregon has to offer. Our events range from pottery painting to skeet shooting - and includes everything in between! For those individuals who don't yet feel comfortable in group settings, 1:1 Social Inclusion is also available.
The program is member driven, with activities being conceived and planned by the Member Steering Committee which meets quarterly. Events vary in size, physical requirements, and cost. To receive a Newsletter, please click on CONTACT US and we'll get one out to you right away.
G2G Community Living Supports
Good-2-Go was founded on the belief that people with disabilities possess the potential to live and interact in their communities, and that by listening to the hopes and dreams of people we serve, we can help them realize those dreams. Our Independent Living program assists people who have or would like to take those bold steps to move out of group homes, family households, and other facilities, into homes and lives of their own.
Each step of this journey is taken with the support of Good-2-Go staff, from deciding where to live and picking a roommate, to providing whatever tools are needed to take those successful steps toward independence. From benefits and budgeting, to planning menus, grocery shopping, and helping prepare meals, to prioritizing housekeeping and laundry tasks, at each step G2G staff listen to the needs of the people we serve. People we support choose the services they want and need. Our staff help to ensure that peoples’ needs are met while always encouraging and fostering independence and choice.
Community Living supports may be provided in 1:1 or group formats.
G2G Supported Employment Services
|
The G2G Supported Employment program is based on the idea that, in creating a successful job match, a person with a disability can do the job he or she was hired to do. Our job is to provide whatever the person needs to be successful, from extra training, establishing priorities and creating task schedules, to educating employees at the job site and building natural supports.
Supports may include: Job Search, Job Preparation/Training, Job Placement, and Job Coaching

G2G Community Corps
The G2G Community Corps is our way of giving back to the community. The Corps works with local nonprofit organizations and community agencies to change the lives, improve the environment, and build a better place to live for everyone.
G2G Mentor Program
The G2G Mentor Program provides an opportunity for our seasoned and successful members to share their secrets, strategies, and talents with the newest G2G members. Members participate in a 3 month training before becoming qualified as a Peer Mentor. Each new member is assigned a Peer Mentor upon intake. The Peer Mentor assists in developing natural supports, accessing new community resources, and helps new members integrate smoothly into the G2G Family.
